My mouse driver crashed. I've tried to reinstall from the restoration disk, but can't since I'm unable to double click on the picture of which mouse I have. I can tab to the picture, but it won't reconize enter as a double click. How can I get this re-installed without a working mouse?

What is the make and model of your mouse? Most are recognised by the OS these days and don't require a third party driver installation.

You can try using a usb mouse to fix the problem.

I went out an purchased a new wireless mouse and it won't install it. Are usb mouses different than wireless?

Only real difference being they plug into a usb port instead of ps2.

I've seen ps2 ports go bad before. We have a pc here at work that had the keyboard ps2 port go bad, I took several keyboards off working machines and none of them worked. I purchased a usb keyboard for it and it works fine.
