Ps3 controoler Drivers

I need drivers for the ps3 that isn't some form of malware. I was going to see if microsoft had anything but that asinine login screen won't even let me get to the home page just cause some error is preventing sign in. Real nice microsoft.

The one time i need to look something up for windows and the micorsoft login
goes "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."

 

I assume this is for a game or two.
Check your game's forums as the controller usually needs game support.

 

No I need help with get the computer to register it. The game has nothing to do with this particular problem. Fact is i can't get it to work period, none of the drivers are registering it and I was told that all that was needed was an usb plug to make the connection.

Thing is everytime I try making said connection whatever driver I'm using doesn't show the controller having any kind of connection as if it doesn't exist. Furthermore the drivers themselves do not appear on a list of drivers, even though they should.

so it's either A) the drivers themselves are the problem or B) You can't use a ps3 controller with a pc using only the usb, or both.
