PS3 corrupt character data

Hey guys,
Umm, I just turned my ps3 on and loaded boarderlands. Went to load my character (lvl 69 maxed Soldier) but it has been corrupted.:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry Please is there anyway I can recover this data?

Yikes. Is anything else corrupted and how old is your PS3? The saves are on your hard drive, and it would really not be good if the drive is on its way out. Do you have a recent backup of what is on the drive? If not, make one as soon as you get a chance, just in case the drive is on its way out.

A quick google trip showed that this happens occasionally from bugs in the game, and that there is next to no way to get the saves back if it happens to you. Found this... sorry.

And I feel for you. I have lost characters I've maxed out, saves on games I've spent months on, and it hurts every time. It sucks.

 

I honestly don't know how old it is. I don't know I don't know if my brother backed up my save. Here's the kicker that's the 4th character on boarderlands I've lost to corruption.

 

Ouch. That sucks... but if you have a backup, even if it's a bit old, it's still way better than having to start over.

 

I just checked a flash drive I had and I did make a back up of that character :-D. I lost 9 levels but oh well.

 

Still much better than losing all of it. Now go make a current backup!
