PS3 Question

I'm not sure if this goes in Games, Hardware, or Software.. So someone's going to have to move it..

I'd like to know if there is a way to use a qwerty cell phone as a keyboard for a PS3, through blue tooth. they can both search and be discovered, whatever the terminology is.. I couldn't get it to work with my Rival last night.. Has anyone else tried this with a different phone?

I have no idea, I have never tried it. I use a USB keyboard with my PS3 though, and one of the controllers to move the cursor and click. I can surf all sorts of webpages and use chatrooms that way, so if you can find stuff with a USB connection, you'll be set.

 

I can say for certain that it wont work. The bluetooth for your phone and the bluetooth for the PS3 don't connect like that.

Like Mimsy, I just keep a spare dell freebie keyboard around for when I need to type.

 

I got a wireless keyboard and mouse last night for it. I didn't think the phone idea would work, but it would have been nice, had it worked.

Anyhow, I knew I could use a USB set up, I just didn't have it on hand, and when I was out, I never though.. OH hey, I need a mouse and keyboard for my PS3. I'm lucky to remember toilet paper & everything else.
