You should be ok with anything over 400-450 watts.

You should really be looking into getting a better card instead of SLI'ing the 6600, as you will hardly get any performance increase, and i know if i was you i would be wanting more a couple of months down the line.

Yeah- I was going to recommend a 500-550w. I also agree 100% with the following statement:
The 6600 is a VERY old outdated card. It is not worth investing in a new power supply to run two 6600 video cards. If you upgrade the PSU, get a single card that requires the stronger power supply: the 8800 series is good (although discontinued) and they can be found fairly inexpensively; the 9600 is great (I had one and loved it!); the 9800 and GTS250 are also great budget video cards. Any of the cards I just mentioned will run fine on a 500w power supply, and you should be able to get any of these cards for under $150.00....
    Nvidia 9800 @ Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...der=BESTMATCH&Description=nvidia+9800&x=0&y=0
    GTS250 @ Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...r=BESTMATCH&Description=nvidia+gts250&x=0&y=0
NVidia 9600 @ Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...der=BESTMATCH&Description=nvidia+9600&x=0&y=0 (NOTE: the 9600GSO is slower than a standard 9600GT, and the GSO has fewer shaders and smaller bus; the GT has a 256bit bus, the GSO is 128bit or 192bit)
Check eBay for the 8800 series, or retailers that sell discontinued items like www.compuvest.com (here's the 8800's they currently have in stock: http://www.compuvest.com/Search.jsp?Search=nvidia 8800&tl=0;jsessionid=263d028903f6d03bb32001a50b2e)
You'd be MUCH happier with any one of the cards I've listed above than with two 6600's in SLI.
    :-D

Let us know what you decide to do!!!!!!!!

We BOTH gave you an answer to your question. (varied so be it, but we still answered your question!

Not only did we give you an answer, we gave you some advice on how to maximize your Price/Performance ratio, but if your prepared to throw cash something that will hardly help your performance, only hurt your pocket, then so be it.

can´t say it was a direct answer mate., and thats the only thing i am asking, not for some other possible ways to increase performance..

I might shoud be more direct, how powerful should the PSU be to run 2x6600gt?

    Any GOOD brand over 450W.

Please note that the PSU is one of the most critical components in your system. If you skimp on it and buy a poor quality brand you have the chance of it killing your whole computer.
