Ok so I just bought this new psu for my sony vaio and its too big to fit in the normal place for it...I talked to Sony and they said that replacing the PSU is not reccomended and could cause "hardware malfunction" which i really dont see as a possibility. My warranty is over and i really need to get a better psu since this one (266 watts) cant run any modern video cards. Any ideas of how i can mount this psu somehow rather than the normal way?

UUUUUMMMM, well depending on the space inside your computer, you may be able to mount it sideways... (which given that it's a Sony Pre-built machine, more likely than not, you still won't have enough space). If not, the only thing that might work, is mounting it externally. (maybe you could build some fancy box for it! :) Everyone loves a good case-mod!)

    Best of Luck
