Is there such a thing as having a PSU that is too big? not talking about physically, cause that is obvious. But can a PSU have too many watts for your computer, or will it just have plenty of spare power for when you upgrade?

You will have plenty of spare power though don't go crazy with it as you may spend too much money for what you need. Having at least %20 more than the maximum you think you will ever need is a decent rule of thumb IMO. BTW, don't buy a no name brand, go for Thermaltake etc.

ok, thanks for the info. I am planning on doing my purchasing through newegg in a month or two. depends on how long it takes to save up for everything.:D How will I be able to tell between a no-name brand and a good one?
