public ip and nat routing

ok so i am trying to find out how to view my public ip address while behind a nat router. but i need like a dumbed down way of doing it that i can teach my grandma. any suggestions. maybe even a batch file or script. thank you.

does anyone maybe have a backup. just incase that website goes down or out of buisness or somthing.

 

There are tools out there that can do this, and, depending on what router you have, a page that can be viewed publicly showing the outside ip address. However, "whatismyip.com" has been around for a long time and I haven't ever had a problem getting there...

 

There is a very nice small Free proggie that does it.
