I produce a newsletter for a Yahoo group that is put on their website, using MS Publisher 2007.
I had to use a large-file sending outfit from the net to email it to the webmaster.
A change in webmaster resulted in the file not being downloaded before the large-file company's expiration date to send.
When I went to resend it, I found that somehow the original file had been lost. All I had was a copy attached to an email sent to the proof reader. So, I forwarded the email with attachment (newsletter) to the new webmaster. The webmaster has Publisher 2007 installed on their system. But, they tell me they are unable to open the attachment.
I tried resending it a few times with other email addresses I use, but to no avail.
I even tried changing the file ext, still nada.
Is there hope for this dilemma?

You say you still "a copy attached to an email". So, why not just save it to your hard drive so that you have it outside of your email message?

That would be my advice. Save the attachment to your computer then upload it to somewhere like mediafire and give the webmaster the link to the file. I like mediafire for this type of file transfer. If you register for the free account you can delete the file when it has been successfully transferred, otherwise it probably gets auto-deleted after some amount of time.
