Okay, For the past few days i have been unable to play Battlefield2. This was most likely caused by a virus i encountered or adware/spyware. I have scanned my computer for viruses and cleaned/deleted all know viruses. I also took care of the spyware that spystopper found. However, punkbuster keeps booting me out of games because of 'Inadequate O/S privelieges'. Punkbuster support and their FAQ could not help me. They only told me that i needed to get rid of my 'User Agent String'. I really don't want to totally reinstall my computer again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Getting rid of bugs is only half the job. Firstly, you either had the antivirus switched off, or the settings set up wrong. If you don't find out why, it could let another in. You have to clear up, and repair the files it altered and corrupted before you found it, and that can be a pain. Saving the game your playing to a disk, and reloading the thing might be the only option. In some instances, a full format and reload is the only option.

    WARNING
Disable system restore and reboot. otherwise you could reintroduce the thing yourself. Once you disable and reboot, enable and reboot. That way the chance of re infecting yourself has gone

Alright I definantely got rid of any adware and spyware and viruses on my computer and I have a program that secures against future spyware and adware. I did what you said with the system restore but, still no dice. I just don't know how to delete this 'user agent string' they keep telling me to delete. Any help would be very.....er...helpful.

    It's part of Internet Explorer.
Delete all downloaded files, the history folder, and cookies in Internet Explorer's Options.

    If that don't work.

Put a search out for IE6.exe on your hard drive, and hit the thing, and reinstall it. If you don't have it, then download Internet Explorer and reinstall it.

    See if they work.
