    Hi all,
about to purchase microsoft office 2003 professional from america. It come just as CD's and a product key etc but no box obviously for shipping reasons. The concern i had is our software cd formats are PAL does that only account for DVD's? I was wondering whether office purchased from america would be fully compatible with windows xp?
    Thanks

PAL and NTSC are different ways of interlacing lines of video data on a monitor. It should not apply to Office software. Please see this link for a comparison of PAL and NTSC

I assume you are an Aussie. What prices have you been quoted in USD$, including postage and packing? How reliable is your USA source?

Have you compared the OZ prices that Harvey Norman and Harris Technology charge.
Australian software equivalent prices have fallen dramatically over the past few years.
Thay are a lot nearer to converted USD$ prices, than ever before.

There is an academic priced version at AUD$255 at www.ht.com.au for example, if you qualify. Bazza

If you want to, publish the website address (deal) here, and I am sure lots of Yanks will check it out for you. Seems too good to be true, as you say. Bazza
    PS:
Do a google search about the company. Wished I 'd done that when I got ripped off on buying DVD's from tha USA. If any bad (or good) comments then google will find it for you. Baz

MajorGeeks does not condone piracy of software :)

@Gower...if you look at this page of their website http://anysoftware.net/default.aspx?Page=35 and the last sentence on it, it seems that their policy is such that they are working to reduce/eliminate piracy, which would indicate the product is the genuine article. Just remember though, that there are language/spelling differences between the UK and US and be prepared to re-train your Word spellchecker ;)
