    Hi,

I have Windows XP Pro. I went to Accesssories and dragged Word Pad to my Desktop rather than copy it first. Now there is no Word Pad in my Accessories menu. How to I get it back there?

Thanks for any guidance you can give me.

Drag the desktop icon onto the Start button and hover it there.
The Start menu should open. When it does, drag the icon onto All Programs and hover there. The Programs list should open. Drag the icon onto Accessories. When that menu opens, drag the icon to where you want to put it in the list and release.

If you don't have a desktop icon,

Find the WordPad exe file - probably in C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories.
Right click on wordpad.exe and click on Create Shortcut. That should create a shortcut either in that folder or on the desktop. Follow the above directions to get the shortcut back into accessories.
