When I start my laptop, I was getting a screen that said:

PXE-E61: Media Test Failure, check cable
    PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM

and then it would restart itself over and over.

So, I went into BIOS and disabled the network boot (as another thread suggested). Now my computer sits at black screen with a blinking underscore in the right hand corner.

I tried letting the battery die, and then plugging in the laptop. Didn`t work. So, I tried removing the battery for three hours. Didn`t work.

Also, I have nothing plugged in but the power cable.

What the heck should I do?
