I'm teaching myself programming and was told that PYTHON would be a good place to start since I have no programming experience at this time. So I was going to install python on my computer..From this site.

Just not sure if I should take that chance or if PYTHON is even a good place to start.. Any suggestions?? Amy (zarya28)

i too have heard that python is a good starting point for programming. i have recently installed 2.5 on my machine. it's easy to follow the formulamatic tutorials that i've found online, but programming "freehanded" is a different story. i think that with practice it will come easily. i plan on continuing to use it.
