Python

I did a search on python in the forums but none of them really answered my question.
I really want to learn a computer language and what I have heard Python is the easiest. I have everything I need to write a script with.
The only problem I am having is getting started. Im hoping someone can post a website that has tutorials and such.
From a beginners point of view I can't stand seeing a tutorial labelled for "Beginners" and they go on about 1<0==x||-y*%45 without actually showing me what it does.
I like the websites that give you simple projects and tasks from beginner to advanced so you can actually see what the results are of what you are doing and feel a bit of achievement, rather than just talking about what things do.
I guess im just a hands on learner and maybe im to lazy but if anyone knows a website like that please write it down.
