My bro and his friends decided to try the Quake 3 demo on my computer. They dint realize that there wasnt a installed video card, but the onboard video. Once they started playing the game it got really laggy, and they exited the program. The problem know is that the current monitor display is extremly bright. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the video adapter drivers. I have also done this in safe mode. The same problem is still going on. I have checked the monitor it is perfectly fine. Or atleast for right know, since who knows how long it will take to burn and image into the tube when its this bright.

Try going back into the game and adjusting the gamma from there, or is there a gamma control in your display properties? I've had a problem similar to this, but it was fixed by reverting to an older driver version.

just fixed. The video display comes with like a sis program
installed that, and had the puppy fired up to reset to default. Fixed it right away.
