    Hey gang.

Im sure everyone knows what I'm talking about when I say Western Digital Media player. If not, for about $100 , you can get something that supports 1080p, has an HDMI output, a remote control, is completely silent, and supports about every format there is under the sun.

A few of my friends / coworkers own these things and love them.

What Im wondering, is if you could take a wifi nas box that also has a USB connector, and connect it to the WD. Call me super lazy, but the only hold back from this thing would be constantly updating the hard drive or flash key that was plugged into it. So what I'm looking for is a device that would allow wifi nas access, and at the same time have a USB connection I could plug into the WD Media Player.

So I can sit on my couch, drop files onto the nas from my coffee table (eee pc), and watch them on the big screen.

Anyone know of a product that would do this, or if it can even be done? The box would need to support wifi + usb @ the same time.

    Hey man,

Maybe I wasnt clear or maybe I'm missing something but this isnt really what Im looking for. This looks to be just a media player?

What im looking for is a Wifi connected hdd enclosure, that can be connected to by USB at the same time. So it offers wifi NAS, but also a USB port so it will connect to a WD-TV.

Or any other media playing box that takes regular HDD or whatever but also supports N wifi

they have a wireless G nas box.
You could do the same with the USB Network Storage Server and a wireless bridge. Plugg the bridge into the ethernet port and you have 2 USB ports to add whatever you like. That way you can add usb drive enclosures & usb keys fast & easy. Sorry no N-wifi, unless you can find a router that is N & set up the bridge idea. I'd suggest a dd-wrt compatible router for bridging.
