I was going through the read and run me but everytime I try to download CCleaner it says high security alert? Is there an issue with this and how am I suppose to continue with the steps without having this software available?

I didn't see this on any other thread so I figured I'd post it. Sorry for any inconvience.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please be more specific! What is saying "high security alert"?

I have no problem downloading CCleaner. I just tried it right now.

I printscreened the notice that I got when trying to download it.

I hope you can read it because I just realized on this computer I don't have Paint!

I assume your antivirus program is Fortinet?

Well it is wrong! The file is not infected.

In addition, PSkill ( which is not part or CCleaner ) is a valid program used by many experts. See: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PsKill.html

However like many processes, it all depends on where it is running from. But either way Ccleaner is not infected.

I don't doubt the website, I'm just confused as to how that keeps coming up? I have ad-aware, spybot and McAfee on this computer and then on the other just Ad-Aware and Avast.

I was doing the Read and Run because I saw the Moviepass thread and that's what I'm trying to remove. But I saw by the OP that I defintly needed to do "Step: 0".

If you are running McAfee and Avast, then why is something directing you to Fortinet?

Are you sure you do not have it running too? You must be.

Below is what Fortinet and Kaspersky will detect in ccsetup128.exe
But neither of them are truly correct. At least Kaspersky indicates more correctly that it is not a virus but a RiskTool.

No other scanners (13 others I tried) detect problems.

As far as I know we don't. Is there anyway to check? My parents computer is the one that is having the MoviePass problem, but on my computer as well the same message came up and I haven't downloaded any type of softward of the name Fortinet or Kaspersky.

Sorry to be such a bother about this.

Complete the rest of the READ & RUN ME and instead of using CCleaner (since you are having a problem with it) use the below:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. This program does not require an installation. The executable actually runs the program.

Note: This program is for Windows XP and Windows 2000 only
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    Under Main choose: Select All
    Click the Empty Selected button.

    If you use Firefox browser
Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    Click the Empty Selected button.

NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

    If you use Opera browser
Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    Click the Empty Selected button.

NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

This will remove all files from the items that are checked so if you have some cookies you'd like to save. please move them to a different directory first.
