 A question regarding the temperature in my case. Currently it floctuates between 82.1-85.9 F, this is provided by my temperature gauge that is built into the tower. I do not know what two do. I have an X-Infinity case and here are its stats:

    Brand new product
    ASPIRE
    80mm Fans: 2
    Air duct: No
    Dimensions: 18.7" x 7.8" X 16.8" (DxWxH)
    Expansion Slots: 7
    External 3.5" Drive Bays: 2
    External 5.25" Drive Bays: 4
    Front Ports: USB, Audio
    Internal 3.5" Drive Bays: 5
    Motherboard Compatibility: ATX
    With Side Panel Window: Yes

One fan functions as an intake and the other as an exhaust fan. Just to note the power supply fan is fully functional.

    Help :

Firstly, your killing the cpu, and probably the graphics card. Take the side panel off untill you sort the problem out. Those temps are way , way over the top. If it's a new complete system from a seller, shove it back at them, don't touch anything, just shove it back at them. If you return the thing, and you have taken the side panel off the case, check the BIOS hasn't recorded it. If it has recorded it you can reset the thing.

80mm fans are not recommended in any way as a means of cooling todays cases, and that is a major reason for the terrible temps. Get 120mm case fans as a matter of urgency. Upgrade them, if you can't, then start modding the case. If you can't, then junk the case.

Whatever you do, doing nothing is not an option.

I haven't installed my cpu or graphics card yet but my motherboard is still in there along with my sound card and wifi card. Are 120mm the same size of the 80s or do I have to open a bigger hole. Plus, do I have to remove my board and other parts. Just to let you know my computer is custom.

You should return the case and get a full ATX case and not these wimpy mid sized towers :p

If your temps are 82.1- 85.9 F that is quite acceptable
if those temps are centigrade then you have a problem.

double check and get back, also what is your CPU temps.

most people use centigrade and you can toggle back and forth between the two.

Its definitely fareignheit and I didn't get my cpu yet. The minimum that my mother board works with is a pentium 3.2+ celeron or prescott with ht

I would like everyone for their help. What I did was I took out the plexiglass on the side of my computer and flipped over leaving a mm of space between the plexiglass and metal. The system is now 79.9 F - 80.1 F. Soon I will get a 120mm fan in the back for addtional cooling. Thanks again
