Since I have bought my Thermaltake Shark and I have bought my son a Thermaltake Tsunami I have noticed something about the fans. You have your regular power and then there is a single yellow wire that goes into a three pin connector...just one yellow wire! Thermaltake says to connect this to the RPM monitor......Now I know I am going to sound just plane stupid but were the heck does this thing go? I hooked one of these wires up to the cooling fan connectors on mine and it didnt read anything, unplug it and it still runs. HHHMMMMMmmmm! I'm stumped, could you guys help me out? :D

it has to go into one of the system fan sockets on your mobo they are usually labeled sys fan in small white writing. ;)

EDIT you dont have to have them plugged in for the fan to work, all they do is tell you the speed of the fan when using the appropriate program, you can set your comp to shutdown if the fan stops just like if your cpu fan stopped.

Thanx again Rikky! Is it ABSOLUTELY necessary to plug these things in?

No not at all,its just an alarm that sounds if one stops to warn you,but if a case fan stops your system isnt really gonna be in danger of overheating,I plug them in because I dont like wires in little bundles inside the case, its up to you really.

I wonder why the RPM's do not show on the one I have hooked up to my computer?

I'm pretty sure the lan party series is supported. I installed mobo monitor on a pc I built for someone that used the Lan Party NF4 SLI-D (or something real close to that) anyway, I'm not positive it worked, but I think it did.
