This should probably be in the driver forum, but I figured I'd get more exposure here in software, but if it needs to be moved, that's OK. ;)

Anyway- I have an NVidia video card running Forceware 174.74 (yeah, I know it's almost a year old). But to find this out, I had to track down the date I installed the drivers, and then compare this to the Forceware version that was available at the time. No place on my PC did it state which Forceware version I had installed. All I found was references to "Driver Version: 6.14.11.7474". I get this everywhere; from the Device Manager to GPU-Z to Everest, they all report the same number and none of 'em have a Forceware release number. WHY? What's with the obfuscation? It seems that the last 4 numbers of the "Driver Version" actually refer to the Forceware version number, but maybe this is a coincidence. Any wisdom out there?

    Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

OK... the one app that did actually report the Forceware version was PCWizard (screen shot below). But why was this so hard to find out? Why isn't it listed with the "Driver Version" number? Or instead of the "Driver Version" number? Does anybody care? ;)

The one graphics card I have purchased was an ATI, a low end Diamomd Stealth S60 (ATI Radeon 7000) . Emachine said the T1221 maxed out at 512 RAM, but didn't mention the on board graphics could't deal with it. Loop then lock. Found a post on the web from someone with a similar problem, after following this tutorial. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246 (Over 130,000 views.)
