I'm using the hosts file to block certain websites. I want to block just part of a website, but I cant seem to get it to work.

    127.0.0.1 main.website.address/forums

I only want to block the forums, but how can I do this from the hosts file?

Thanks for any help you can give....

You can't do it from the hosts file unless the forum is hosted on another server. The hosts file is a translation table of web address root location from which other pages at the same IP address can be found.

What you may be able to do is use your browsers settings or your firewall settings to block parts of the site. Which of these are you using?
