Question about HWmonitor

I've been using HWmonitor for about a month or so, and it rocks. :dood But I have a question.... When you run it, you have columns for Min. and Max. and the current Value. My question is:
When does it start monitoring the Min and the Max? If you launch HWM right when your desktop loads up, I'm assuming it starts then; and then it must be running the entire time to get a good range of temps. Or does it 'remember' the readings. What I mean is: if I launch HWM right when the desktop comes up, then close it, then launch it again and hour later, does it remember the readings from the previous time I launched it? If the PC stays on between each time HWM is started, does it keep those readings? Or does it have to be running constantly? Not a big deal, but I found no info about this at their web site, and it's not important enough for me to bother the developers....

Oh yeah, you can download it here (it's free) http://www.majorgeeks.com/download5842.html

    Hi dlb

Its forgets the min max if you close it, so has to be running all the time,

You could add it to the startup folder of the Start > all Programs list, that way it should run at boot on an XP PC, Vista likely not so easy as app needs to get back a UAC prompt so not rebooted to test this as yet. Nice app but could do with a minimise to sys-tray option.

I couldn't agree more ;) Now there's something to bug the developers about....

    Thanks for the info...
