I only use IE for Windows Updates and several other sites that seem to do better with it.
Used to work fine by me, until last week when I got the latest Updates.
Where I'm used to having the taskbar on the bottom and the address/toolbar on the top, now they go completely up to the top or down to the bottom. I now have to move my pointer to the extreme edge to get them into view.
My question is: Is this something that was added/changed by the updates, a configuration problem, or has something worse happened? Something that was not found by Avira,MBAM,or SAS.
Running stock version of IE on Vista Home Premium previously.

Shouldn't be 8. Still shows up and getting blocked in Updates.
Don't know what the version was that was installed with Vista.
Cannot find current installed version on Computer Properties, Belarc, or with SIW.

edit: just checked Vista page at Microsoft. Shows that Premium came with 7.

    Tried your Fixit button.
    Didn't correct my problem.
DEP was turned back on and security was set back to default (instead of med. high).
    IE still misbehaving.
May see about downloading IE6 and see if it does the same thing.

I don't think you can run IE 6 on Vista!
