Question about Loading "Good" Windows copy

Six months ago, I had huge problems with this new computer I bought, tried everything thought it was a lemon. Found out after three months that the windows copy i was loading must have had some scratches on it.

Does anyone know if Microsoft will send out a new copy of Windows XP if you give them your serial number , and if so where or whom do you call. I just want to make sure when im loading it (next time) i get a good copy.

More than likely, you are going to have to call the vendor you bought it from for a replacement.
