I just upgraded my memory in my current motherboard with this Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR533D2N4K2/2G

But now I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard because mine is very outdated. The memory standard on my current motherboard is DDR2 533 but I can't seem to find any motherboards that are socket 775 with DDR2 533 memory standards anymore. My question is would the ram I just added to my current motherboard be compatible with a motherboard that has an 800 memory standard? Since I just bought 4 gigs of this memory I'd prefer not to have to buy all new memory that's why I'm asking...Thanks in advance for any replies.

Most DDR2 motherboards will support memory at standard frequencies like yours up to a point (generally 800 or 1066) but you would need to check the individual board specs.
