I just got a GA-H61M-HD2 (rev. 1.0) motherboard and want to test it out of the box. I pulled an older PSU out of an older computer and was curious about settings on the PSU if any. It is set on 15voltage from what I can read. I don't know if this is good for the board or not. I am having to install the board inside a case I am using now, but wanted to test the board first before I even try installing it into the case. I just don't want to unplug everything I am using now for it not to work.

I recommend you get a local - in person- family or friend who is familiar with these things to work with you. Using loose pieces of electric\electronic parts that may be (are) ungrounded or unearthed can be dangerous. And it can also be bad for the motherboard.
