Just got a new laptop and I already had a PC which is hooked up to the internet through a dsl router. I hooked up my laptop to this and it split my connection up. However, what im wondering is that if I network the pc and laptop thru the dsl/router (which has firewall) will my pc and laptop be vulnerable?

So you say connect the pc and laptop to the router which connects to the internet?
You said it has a built in firewall so....
But I'd be cautious and install a software firewall on the pc and laptop as well just to be safe. Hardware firewalls can block a lot of things but some can get through. There's a thread in networking recently about hardware and software firewalls, might want to read up on it.
