question about Norton Internet Security 2009 firewall

    Hi Guys

    I recently installed NIS2009 and its quite nice. but i have a question regarding its firewall. i was earlier using sygate firewall and sygate used to ask me if i want to allow or disallow a process to access the network once any process tries to do so. but norton firewall always remain quite and never asks for my decision. is it possible to tweak the software so that the firewall asks me, that way i come to know what is going out and coming in thru the internet from my system. please inform. many thanks in advance!

    Hi

    Not a user of NIS, but generally the setting for alert of new items from Firewall are in the Advanced Settings page, also try a search of the inbuilt help in NIS, for something like Program Component Monitoring alert.

    Hopefully someone using NIS2009 will give you direct location to this option, but I would go through all the menus for an option.
