Question about NTLDR

Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE)- I'm working on a laptop and when booted, I get the 'NTLDR is missing' error message. I've fixed this in the past on other PC's by simply copying a good copy from a healthy XP to floppy, and then copying it from the floppy to C: on the non-booting PC using the Reovery Console. My question is: I don't have another PC running XPMCE, can I use the NTLDR from XP Pro w/ MCE?
