My rame sticks are slightly different and my motherboard won't take them. Now I have to use them as single channel. How much performance hit did I take?

that artical was from a few months ago, but pc hardware is like oil in its up and down prices, but generally if you are only 1 generation behind current top of the range hardware you'll get a good deal.

Memory and chip prices usually depend on how well a certain taiwanese farmers crop of long grain rice turns out. :)

My kingston ram seem to be made in america and china instead of taiwan. Anyways, if I get a new gig at boxing day it won't be more expensive than now right?

It may of may not be.... who knows, all it would take is for a natural disaster of somesort to hit a chip fabrication plant for the prices to rocket.

I've noticed more than once that ram prices went up around the holidays,
and dipped back down early in the year. Supply and demand is the rule.
