Lets say I'm using the XP built-in Remote Assistance feature to help fix an off-site PC. Is it possible for malware on the remote PC to invade my PC? I'm assuming that it's possible but highly unlikely.... can someone shed some light on this?

    Thanks!

Thanks, but the answer at that link is very limited and only tells me that the data transmitted between the PCs is encrypted which (to me) means that nobody could 'jump in between' the 2 PCs and view or effect what was going on. But (in my mind) this doesn't necessarily mean that a virus couldn't go from one PC to the other by becoming part of the encrypted data stream between the 2 PCs, and as the data is decrypted when it reaches the other end, it could then execute itself and do its thing.... couldn't it?
