Question about SpyBot.....

I should know this.... Does SpyBot S&D offer active realtime protection? And I don't mean in the same way that Spyware Blaster does, by creating a "blacklist" of sites and cookies and such, but real, true, active protection? I've got friends that say it does, and friends that say it doesn't, and me in the middle saying "IDUNNO!" :confused

 

they have an SDhelper that runs and protects explorer from exploits and spyware, and TeaTimer I believe is a realtime monitor, but I personally disable TeaTimer because it used to hog resources. I'm not sure if it has been fixed, but I get along fine without it

i use spybot with the teatimer dissabled as well

 

I've been using Spybot S & D with TeaTimer activated for ages now. No problems for me. I think a lot of the prejudice against TeaTimer goes back to the very early versions and has become a sort of urban myth, IMO.
