I was wondering if you are adding uv lights to your case would it make your case hotter or would it pretty much stay the same. The reason I am asking this is because everyone now in these days are using uv lights but I don't usually see that many fans. I mean do they have a protection over it so just incase your messing with your computer and u accidently touch the light would you get burn or something? Just something I had in mind. LOL

There is no significant amount of heat produced to burn you. Not a good idea to be messing with a computer that isnot turned off and UNPLUGGED.

Cold cathodes and LEDs produce very insignificant amounts of heat, I wouldn't worry about it. Most decent cold cathode kits come with a plastic protective shield over the tube anyway (mainly to protect the light from breaking).

Thank you guys!!! Big help. Now what kinda lights would you recomend for me to install on my computer, I was browsing one day and I found some weird type of lighting for your computer. But I forgot the site. It was on a strip and you could move it around, cut it and it would still light up but I forgot what it was called? It would of been perfect for my project but i forgot to bookmark the site. If anyone knows what I am talking about send me a message. Otherwise if you know a good uvlight company send it this way? Thankyou guys!!!!!

    Ah, OK!
I think you're talking about Electroluminescent lights and flat lamps.
You can see exmples of it here:

Hopefully that's what you're after, and you know what to name it in Google now ;)

Actually it wasn't that what I was looking for but it's interesting. The one I was talking about how a source for me to put it into the power supply threw the 12v connector. But I cannot figure out how you could connect that to my computer. You know how? It might be a stupid question but enlight me.

The transformer or Converters have been known to get hot & even melt:eek:
I'd probably avoid the El Cheapo ones
