Is it possible to install a video card in a computer (HP) that has the video incorporated inro the motherbord? There is a slot on this board that will accept a video card. Advice would be appreciated, as well as pros and cons and possible conflicts that could arise.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Yes
    Pros: all good

you will have to go into the bios to disable the on board graphics / swap to AGP / pci / pci-e (depending on board)

Actually, you won't have to disable the onboard video, since the board will auto sense the new card.
