Hi there, Here is what's happening. I have a work folder on the desktop that has folders within it. I open the main folder and then a sub folder thats in it and then a file that is in the second folder, the main folder ( the first one opened from the desktop shortcut) closes so when I want a different sub folder, I have to re-open the main folder from the desktop. Shouldn't the main folder stay open until I choose to close it? If not, is there a way I force it to stay open?
    Thanks, old dog.

There are a couple ways around this problem. The first that comes to my mind is to have each folder open in its own Window. Here's how:

    1. Open Windows Explorer
    2. Select 'Folder Options' from the 'Tools' menu
    3. Under 'Browse Folders', check the radio button next to 'Open Each Folder In It's Own Window'
    4. Apply your settings.

Now, when you open the second folder from the first, the first folder should stay open in its own window.
