   :waveI am seeing that winxp is slow to shut down (about 2 mins) when I'm done surfing or playing a game:zzz ... but when I let it sit for a while with nothing open it shuts down straight away ... what is this an indication of and what can be done to correct it?:confused

   Compare what is running in task manager during a fast shutdown and a slow shutdown.
   Kill the process on the slow shut down screen until you find the one or two things making the shut down hang.
