Question about XP-Antispy and CallingID

Hello all. I few days ago I downloaded CallingID 1.2.0.21 http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4911 from Major Geeks and I love the program but it keeps trying to access the internet. It works fine even if I deny it access to the internet. Does anyone know why it is trying to do that?

I just downloaded XP-Antispy http://www.majorgeeks.com/XP-Antispy_d2062.html which seems to be real popular and highly rated. I haven't installed it yet because I think the last time I used it, it turned off my Windows XP firewall and I am also concerned about it disabling my Microsoft AntiSpyware.
I am not concerned w/ automatic updates or Windows Messenger.

Does anyone know any reason(s) why I shouldn't install this?
If I install it and later uninstall it, will it restore my original settings?

I'm an exec. in CallingID and like to answer your question.
You may think the software is working correctly despite blocking it's communications via your firewall, but in fact, the software isn't working correctly at all.
The CallingID toolbar provides you with information about the sites you visit. Much of the information it provides is located in online databases. Every time you browse to a page, the CallingID toolbar contacts the databases and requests information about the URL you are visiting.
By blocking the communication from the toolbar to the databases, you've blinded the software. It won't be able to warn you of all the possible risks a site might present.
