Question about XP reinstall

    If I reinstall XP will I loose all my programs? Can i go to Programs folder and reload or will this be removed with the reinstall? Can I restore windows from my CD. I can not get windows to load.

    If you set your system to boot from CD and then boot from your WinXP CD, you can do a Repair Installation. This is NOT the same as choosing "R" to enter Recovery Console. Act as if you want to install Windows, and when it detects you have Windows already installed it will ask if you wish to do a repair installation. Choose that, and Windows will be repaired without affecting your installed programs or data. Any Service Packs or Windows updates will have to be re-done, however. Read this for further info:
