Question about ZoneAlarm version (should be quick)

I've noticed that the newest free ZoneAlarm firewall available is version 7.0.302.000. Mine is version 6.5.737.000 and in the "Status" tab it claims it is up to date.

So my question is, is my firewall really up to date?

I do know that the new version includes the ZA security suite (which I do not want) and I'm wondering if the new version actually updated the firewall at all, or if it just added the extra software.

Yes, it does. I went to bed last night while its updater was "receiving data" and when I woke up this morning, it was still doing the exact same thing. So I guess that doesn't work.

All I need is somebody with ZA free to check what version their up to date firewall is. I didn't think it would take this long (slow forums, sheesh!)

 

version 7 was released, news to me too, i have pro n it did not update either. looked at site pro has an update file, free one has a new download file there also.

Here's a custom search that I use to check out if a program is listed on Major Geeks.

Just substitute the name of the program you are after for, my default, of 101 clips.

I have the above search bookmarked. It is easier and quicker than using the search facility on the MG front page at www.majorgeeks.com
