I will shortly be installing Windows 7 but after running the Windows 7 upgrade advisor i am told the following.

    Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet.
It then advises download latest file & after Windows 7 install then install the driver.

The driver is use at the moment seems to be the latest as i can see anything else ?

    Please can you advise.

I would do as the Windows 7 Upgrade Adviser says. You may have the latest driver for your current OS but it may not run under Win 7. After installing Win 7, use Windows Update to try and get drivers for any devices that show a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in Device Manager. Win 7 may have the drivers you need in it's device driver store (you won't have to buy anything — it will offer to download and install). If not, you'll need to go to the device manufacturer's support site and get the Win 7 drivers if available.

If you don't have a second computer to download with, be sure you have an Ethernet driver for your Windows 7 install. It is pretty embarrassing to realize you cannot get to the internet to download drivers and have to revert back. Not that I have ever done that...
Since you have the information, put the driver on a USB?
