How do I enable the pop that prompts for disconnect now or stay connected for an internet dialup connection running Windows 2000/NT?

I am driving myself crazy trying to figure this out.
Somebody please tell me where this is set?

    Hi

If I have your question correct and its the disconnect when idle option or at a pre-chosen time, then the following could be what your after.

Open IE and click Tools > Internet Options > Connections Tab > hightlight your dialup connection then click Settings > under dialup settings click Advanced and make sure the two Disconnect options are unticked.

Doing this tells the modem not to disconnect unless you disconnect or your ISP has you on a time limit per dialup connection, as some do/did, I know an old one of mine has a 2hr limit before disconnection but you could re-dialup straight away.
