I want to create a system image now that I have my desktop the way I want it, so if/ when it craps out on me again I can just reload from the system image and not have to worry about installing all my programs/Windows Updates.

The built in Windows 7 back up and restore system image will do this correct?

    Yes.
I've used it a couple of times with my 7 ultimate.

    Thank you.
I thought so, just wanted to make sure before I did so.
