Question on 7zip

Hi,
I notice that some files cannot be deleted or updated in a 7zip archive but can be deleted/updated in other compression archive methods such as rar & zip.
Does anyone know why this is? Is there a way around this?

7Zip, cant create .rar files, so i think the same stops it from updating them aswell.
[although it can unpack them]

I agree with Q 7zip cannot update .rar files. You are better off using winRAR program as its better all rounder than 7zip. WinRAR can create and unzip most extension zipped files but the program is only free for 30 days trail then you after pay for the program.

After 30 days it reminds you that you havnt bought it, but it keeps on functioning perfectly well for ever ive had it on computers for years without paying for it, although i think it is a very good marketing idea as i believe a lot of people buy it like i did aftr the trial period

NOTE: when you buy winrar it is a life license, so you will get any future updates for free
