Question on Bootvis

A few weeks ago something occurred that caused a warning screen to pop up whenever I go to a new location. It says:

Bootvis

File is not in a recognizable format. Please check the file again.

When I click Okay I automatically go to the location I was selecting. I do not know what I did to start this but it is annoying. I tried looking in the Change/remove programs and there is nothing in there about Bootvis. You can probably tell by now that I am far from an expert. Any ideas as to what I should or can do?
