Question relating Dell Latitude D600

just got mine this tuesday; and im having a problem; 2/10 reboots or pc starting i get "Digital line detect" popup saying my 56k modem line is disconected and to make sure the phone line is properly plugged in ...to begin with i dont connect the 56k line and clickin OK will only make the window pop up 100 times more. What is this? i also see it as a startup item with hijackthis so i was wondering if i could remove it.

 

I don't see why you couldn't remove them. Remember, HijackThis does create backups of everything. Access them by Config... --> Backups.
