Question

On my desktop, some of my desktop icons disappear sometimes. What can cause this to happen, and how can i stop this ? Thanks

 

First check if you can see the icons in explorer (right click start button)

scan your computer for virus, use ccleaner, ewido, spy scan, avg, in safe mode reboot to normal after that see what happens .

 

Your icon cache may be corrupted too. Check out in your profile /local settings/application data/GDIPFONTCACHEV1.DAT and delete it (it will be rebuilt by windows on next boot.
