    Question

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
For some reason I was not allowed to reply to a thread from another user but I copied and pasted it below.

I am having the exact same issue as stated below...I have followed the Run and Readme procedures and still have the same problem...any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Everyone

Here is my problem, whenever i am reading an article like CNN, i will be in the middle of the paragraph reading then all of a sudden the page will go back to the top of the article. I have tried to read other articles, and the problem still persist, i can scroll down a page then all of a sudden it goes back up to the top of the page by itself.

I have run a scan with Spyware doctor and the only thing found was tracking cookies and adware, everything was quarantined. I have run a virus scan and nothing was found.

Can someone tell me what is possibly happening and provide a solution. Thanks

    Welcome to MajorGeeks.com jstroder :)

Firstly, you could not reply to the original thread as only the original poster and Authorized Malware Fighters and Administrators can answer threads in the Malware Forum. You did right to start your own thread.

However, this the the thread you are referring to http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1221938 and Chaslang's suggestion to the original poster in this thread was to post in the Software Forum, as this is not a malware issue. I would think his advice would be the same to you so am moving this thread to the correct forum. Someone will be able to assist you there.

What browser are you running? Certain keyboard combinations can do this.

    Hi

As CNN use alot of Java and Flash on their webpages, update your Java and Adobe Flash Player to the latest versions ( in regard to Java, remember to uninstall older versions, JavaRa can help with this )

Is your Windows version fully upto date as some hotfixes or updates to Internet Explorer "may" fix issues like this if indeed its a Microsoft issue, but in most cases its 3rd party software as in browser add-ons etc, so if using Toolbars disable/uninstall them, especially if one has the option to refresh the webpage automatically at a specific time interval.

Thanks so much, I updated windows and java and seems to have fixed the problem. I thought for sure it was some kind of malware.:)
