I currentley have a GeForce MX420, and im planning on switching to a Sapphire RADEON 9600 SE ATLANTIS 128MB DDR AGP8X.

Will changin from an NVidia to an ATI affect my gameplay? and also, i have an AGP4X, and i was wondering if there was a big difference between playing on 4x and 8x/

    Thanks alot.

It really depends which games you play. For the most part, games do well on the same brand of video cards because game companies target a specific brand and/or card. But as a whole, its about even since everyone doesn't target the same thing. Look at the benchmarks here http://www.anandtech.com/video/ and search google too. It really depdnds on the game you play.

dont' get the SE...you are setting yourself up for disappointment. get the full fledged 9600, or if you can swing it, the Pro or the XT. but NOT the SE.

Well, What are the specs of the Machine you are running. I can then tell you how much differneces you will notice between 4x and 8x. But say you are just asking in general. Theres not much difference at all. And as for getting the SE, hes right. Get the full 9600
