Where does Quick Books Basic 2004 store the files created by the user? Does it back 'em up anywhere??? I know that Quicken backs up user docs to a folder called 'Backup', but I'm not sure about Quick Books......

Been awhile since I used QB, the backup file is "compnayname".QBB
my file extensions from 2004 are listed in caps.

    .QBW is the working file.

    QB example is (C:\QuickBooksVERSION\YOURCOMPANY.qbb)

2004 had auto backup, but think you had to turn it on. There is a restore backup function, but you may get corrupt issues. I use to copy the working file due to problems with backups.
